Group of Seven – All Seniors Care Living Centres retirement communities across the country have been celebrating Canada’s 150th anniversary through special, national events throughout the year. October concludes this celebration by honouring Aunts and Uncles with a special “Group of Seven” themed art project. Residents, staff, and management are honouring the impact these quiet role models have had in the development of our younger generations.

Residents will paint and/or colour Canadian landscapes and complete copies of Group of Seven masterpieces with special focus on the works of Emily Carr. These Works will then be on public display October 18th, 2017. Open Houses at all buildings that day will include a Canadian inspired lunch, presentations of national film board films highlighting the Group of Seven, and entertainment featuring music from the Group of Seven era (1920’s music) culminating in an evening showing of the movie “Painted Land” in our theatres.

At All Seniors Care, we believe that whether actively participating or just enjoying watching the proceedings, being involved is crucial for maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle. We anticipate a wonderful afternoon that will create lasting memories and friendships. Anyone wishing to join the celebration is very welcome…
