Once again, the card club was a huge success, we received 120 participants. The atmosphere today was on a more serious note. Participants concentrated on their cards. Refreshment were served during and between card games, which allowed residents to interact with each other. "It is a great opportunity to create new relationships" says Mrs. Roberts, gold winner. Luc St-Amour, Activity coordinator pulled out his Guitar and the party continued till supper with singing and dancing. A great time was had by all.

Une autre journée formidable avec 90 participants qui ont joué aux cartes à la Gappe. On pouvait voir que le jeu était plus sérieux et que les participants se concentraient sur le jeu de cartes. On voyait leur visage rayonné même si la compétition était palpable.

Mme Roberts, nous mentionne qu’elle a participée pour rencontrer des personnes et c’est fait des amis. Elle dit qu’elle va venir plus souvent aux activités car voit le plaisir qu’elle en retire. Après la cérémonie des médailles, la fête a continué avec des chants et la musique dirige par notre responsable des loisirs Luc St-Amour.

Chateau Symmes

Our card players were joined by a local dignitary, Mrs Françoise Boivin, a well known lawyer and an active political member of the federal government. Mrs Boivin has her own weekly television program.

The day began with a community breakfast, followed by a rousing game of 500, a wonderful lunch, games of Skip-bo and cocktails in the afternoon.

The day was made even more wonderful by a surprise visit with one of our owners, Mrs Lily Goldman. Our residents and guests appreciated it. It made their day.

Six medals were given out to our card sharks.

Nos joueurs de cartes ont eu le grand plaisir d’être accompagnés par Madame Françoise Boivin, une avocate très en vue de la région ainsi qu’un membre actif de la politique fédérale, elle a aussi une émission hebdomadaire de télévision.

La journée a débuté avec un petit déjeuner communautaire, suivi de compétitions de 500, un merveilleux dîner, des parties de skip-bo en après-midi avec cocktail.

La journée a été agrémentée par la visite surprise d’un de nos propriétaires, Madame Lily Goodman. Nos résidants ont été enchanté et l’ont grandement apprécié.
Six médailles ont été distribuées parmi nos participants.
