Three of our residents; Judy Turner, Nadine Hooper and Agnes Roberge completed all four floors up and down within 12 minutes commencing the event!

Two of our residents that are in wheelchairs and NEVER participate in anything came and successfully finished our walking event!

Lily Goodman, Sherwood Park Mayor Kathy Olsen, and Councillor Roxanne Carr were part of our amazing opening ceremonies who were piped in by a wonderful Piper named Derek Hosford. The Sherwood Park News came just in time to catch everything!

We were joined at the event by local dignitaries mayor Kathy Olsen, Roxanne Carr said a a few words to open our Games and had lunch with our residents. The Bev Facey Football team handed out water bottles and encouraged the residents on during the event. We thank them for coming out and supporting this event.

“The ceremonies brought back a few memories for me… it reminded me when I was in the ceremonies for the Summer Games for my daughter and made me realize what an honour this is to have this occur in our residence.”
