Chapel Hill Retirement Village was officially opened September 7th, 2016. The grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration was a huge success and was met with enthusiasm and excitement from those who attended, including all levels of government, local spiritual leaders, community business leaders, staff, suppliers and residents. Guests at the event were treated to a delicious and beautifully presented lunch prepared by the Chapel Hill culinary team lead by head chef, Jan Pronko.

Welcoming with huge smiles and warm greetings by our wonderful residents Ray Ball and Denyse Kelly all guests were invited to tour this 157 suite luxury retirement residence, located in Orleans. Guests were visibly impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere of Chapel Hill’s assisted living, memory care and full private care suites and amenities.

Other highlights of the event included congratulatory words and well wishes from the Honourable Andrew Leslie MP for Ottawa Orleans, MPP Marie France LaLonde, and his Worship, Mayor Jim Watson. The end of the celebration was marked with blessings from Padre Major Derek Marshall of the Canadian Armed Forces and a drumming ceremony performed by Doreen Stevens. The blessings ended the grand opening ceremony on a high note, leaving everyone with feelings of community and fellowship.
