Closing Ceremonies Cedarcroft: Day 5 Recap with Photos!

Cedarcroft Place Retirement Residence

It’s Day 5, the last day of our first annual All Seniors Care Seniors Games 2010.  As with all things wonderful, it is over much too soon, though the memories formed throughout the week are everlasting.

We began the day with Tai Chi, a fun event for all abilities.  The gentle flowing movements that relieve stress and promote overall health are ideal for conveying this week’s message of the importance of maintaining both mental and physical wellness.

This message was further reinforced by Gary Schellenberger, our local Member of Parliament, during our Closing Ceremony.  He shared the story of his own 90 year old father who has taught himself to walk daily as part of his own fitness regime.  It really is never too late to live a healthful lifestyle!

As part of the Ceremony, this week’s medal winners, along with our co-Chefs de Mission, were gathered together one last time for a well-deserved round of applause.  Their enjoyment and enthusiastic participation throughout the Games has been truly uplifting and we are honoured to have been a part of it.

Our appreciation goes out to Ronna Goldberg, Bruce Lillie, Joshua Kuhl and all those working behind the scenes for their support and encouragement.  Thank you!
