Victoria Landing Results

At Victoria Landing we had 98 walkers trekking through the halls, putting themselves to the test to see what their final distance would be.

Many of our stronger walkers finished quickly and decided to challenge themselves by walking all four floors again. There was lots of buzz around the home. A great start to the Senior Games 2010!

We were joined at the event by local dignitaries Maureen Bonner an ambassador for Brandon in Motion & Christine Larson Brandon Community Support Worker BRHC who spoke during our opening ceremony. Before speeches began we had a local Brass band do a fan fair performance as well as a piper who played while final walkers finished up. We were also joined by reps from the Alzheimer’s Society, Heart & Stroke, Lung Association, Diabetes Society, V.L. volunteers Marlene Fisch and Cheryle Phillips all sat at water stations. We were also joined by Dave from Home Health Pharmacy who brought walking poles for our many walkers to try out. We thank them for coming out and supporting this event.

The tenants of Victoria Landing should be bragging to their family and friends about participating in such a healthy lifestyle! All Seniors Care Senior Games is what Brandon in Motion is promoting.”
