At Rutherford Heights we had 55 walkers trekking through the halls, putting themselves to the test to see what their final distance would be.
Mrs Kay Read got to the finish line very fast, all her training paid off.
Mrs. Margaret Dunn walked all four flours with her walker.
We were joined at the event by local dignitary Mayor Mendel, who spoke a few words of encouragement, Mike Hoffman from Heart and Stroke Foundation, who greeted residences, Rod Proudfoot from Travel Alberta, who brought the Olympic Torch to our Senior Games, Lily Goodman and lastly the Edmonton Police, and Edmonton Fire Department, Halls Pharmacy, CIBC Bank, Marigold 55 Plus Group, who set up booths. We thank them for coming out and supporting this event.
