On Day 4 of the 2017 All Seniors Care Seniors Games a line from the movie The Legend of Bagger Vance became true: “Golf is a game not to be won, Golf is a Game to be played.” and play we did, it was truly a beautiful day on the links! Thanks to everyone who teed off and made our Wii Golf event a huge success. With over 300 participants competing for medals, golfers showed off their best swings to enthusiastic audiences as Wii golfing tournaments were completed across the country. The crowds were on the edge of their seats as our finalists birdied their way to the medals. We’ve never had such an exciting year of golf as this year!

At College Park II, Bronze medalist Hazel W. exclaimed “I wasn’t even going to come to this, but I am glad I did!” While in Brandon at Victoria Landing, Silver Medalist Mrs. Helen B. exclaimed at the conclusion of the Floor Shuffleboard Tournament: “I am just so excited to win, win any medal especially a silver medal! At 95yrs of age to win a floor shuffleboard medal… who would have thought?”

From Alberta to Quebec, hundreds of older adults across Canada will continue to take part in the Games during tomorrow’s final day of competition when Card Sharks will be present. Any and all spectators are welcome!

Congratulations to all our medalists and participants across the country for making Day 4 of the 2017 All Seniors Care Seniors Games was a swinging success. Caddies were not needed today, but our staff and volunteers were! Without them, the Games would not be possible, so a big thank you and congrats to all.
