February 5, 2020 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THESE ARE THE BEST OF TRADITIONAL THINGS… Day 3 of the 2020 All Seniors Care Seniors Games was filled with exciting action across the country today, as Billiards and Pétanque-atout tournaments were contested. With competitors engaged in friendly competition competing for medals and bragging rights at 30 retirement communities. Competitors experienced tension, excitement, cheers and laughter. The All Seniors Care Seniors Games over the years have seen many multi-sport athletes with a great example being at Chapel Hill in Ottawa where Bowling Assistant Hélène B. has earned at least one medal every year for the last 5 years.

With the theme of this year’s All Senior Games being ‘Traditions’ it was wonderful to hear residents reminisce on their family traditions. In Edmonton we heard “We used to play pool at Victor’s Pool Hall every Sunday, so playing today brought back great memories. We should play every week and start a new Tradition here!” While, in Regina, Yvonne R., exclaimed: “Today, we had pickerel for lunch, it was so good that it took me back to the days fishing at Waskesiu Lake and catching fresh pickerel… today’s lunch reminded me of our family traditions”.

National medals will be awarded at a special presentation during Closing

Ceremonies on Friday, Feb. 7th, 2020 Media are welcome to attend all events.
