All Seniors Care Living Centres residents, staff and management are proud to help spread a little cheer to our troops deployed overseas this holiday season.

Late last week Canadian Forces 17th Wing Captain Mick phoned All Seniors Care Living Centres Regional Event Planner, Ronna Goldberg with a request. Could All Seniors Care utilize the combined resources of their Head Office and 23 retirement residences in Canada to donate 600 shoe box size gift packages to be sent to soldiers deployed overseas this Holiday Season?

We are proud to announce that we reached this milestone in a record time of a few days! On November 14th, the residents at our Sturgeon Creek I Retirement Residence will be representing the entire All Seniors Care family in Canada when they present Captain Mick with gift boxes containing special “reminders of home” to be given to our soldiers at Christmas. (Everything from 200 pins donated by the Winnipeg Jets to an individual letter of thanks from an 11 year old grade 6 student to handmade cards and Canadian memorabilia).
“This sample gift box contains a pen and pad of paper, a cup with a maple leaf, (inside the cup is a hot chocolate pack, 2 pieces of maple fudge, Marshmallow Maple Leaf treat, and a mini candy cane with a bow), A large peppermint bark chocolate bar, Christmas socks  and finally a note Wishing the Best for our Canadian Soldiers.” We are proud of their commitment to our safety and thankful to the men and women who constantly allow us freedom.
