Winnipeg – Residents and guests at Seine River Retirement Residence enjoyed a special afternoon with hockey legend Dave Ellett. Our residents and staff were treated to a special afternoon of laughter, camaraderie and wonderful memories as Ellett shared his experiences and life in the NHL. “Playing in the 1985 NHL playoffs at home when the Winnipeg fans showed up in a sea of white is was an amazing experience that I will never forget” exclaimed Ellett.

Dave was very generous with his time as he visited with everyone in attendance, signed autographs and posed for pictures. Showing off his offensive skills Ellett participated in a charity shootout and raffle of an autographed Heritage Classic jersey which raised over $1,000 for the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

This is the first of 6 planned events for 2017 where we will be hosting NHL alumni at our retirement communities across Canada. We wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to our event partners at Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment for arranging Ellett’s visit and providing souvenirs to everyone in attendance. At All Seniors Care, we believe that whether actively participating or just enjoying watching the proceedings, being involved is crucial for maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle.

As a partner of the Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni, All Seniors Care Living Centres are proud to welcome all Maple Leafs Alumni to consider our retirement communities across Canada as their residence of choice for the future.
