Record number join All Seniors Care fundraising efforts.

CANADA – Last month, from May 27–30, more than 500 residents, families, staff, and volunteers at All Seniors Care Living Centres across Canada participated in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s, helping raise more than $38,250 in support of people living with dementia.

“We are so grateful for the incredible support we received this year,” said Hannah Silver, Vice President, Health & Wellness. “The enthusiasm shown by everyone was truly inspiring. Seeing so many people come together across all our communities to raise funds and support those affected by dementia helped make this year our most successful Walk yet.”

Each residence participated in its own unique way. Some residents strolled through nearby parks, others completed laps around their home, while several communities welcomed local schools, musicians, volunteers, and dignitaries to join and cheer participants on. For those unable to physically walk, creative fundraising initiatives such as rubber ducky races, a wheelchair and walker wash, raffles, and bake sales helped ensure everyone was able to take part in their own way.

As care providers for a growing population impacted by rising rates of dementia, this is a cause close to our hearts. As a national sponsor of the Walk for Alzheimer’s in 2026, All Seniors Care is committed to raising awareness and supporting older adults living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

Even though the Walk is over, our work continues year-round. Through programs such as Blossom Living and Activ8 with ASC, residents in our homes are encouraged to stay physically active, socially connected, and engaged in daily experiences that support cognitive wellness. We also strive to promote dementia-friendly communities and champion care that is inclusive, equitable, and rooted in respect.

By supporting the Walk for Alzheimer’s, we are helping build more informed, compassionate communities while standing alongside the thousands of Canadians living with dementia and those who care for them.
